I have an E-copy of the CB400 parts book that lists the part numbers and sizes so where should I order them? I assume they are standard items - for example, a "6x8" hex bolt in the 1977 parts book would correspond to a CURRENT 6x8 metric bolt. Is that correct? What is a good source for the various bolts/nuts?
Better stock than some hardware stores there Ken!
Thanks, Dennis, interesting website info! I'm looking for some OEM bolts to replace rusty or missing ones. I thought it would be easy to order the correct bolts as listed in the parts manual by size from some well-known supplier but maybe not?I have found suppliers of specific sets of fittings - "Engine case" for example - but I'm just looking for a few random OEM boltsOut of curiosity, I entered some part numbers for a few bolts in the DSS part number search but they don't appear to list any of the standard bolts. I'm sure, even if they did, DSS would not be a cost effective solution for a small number of bolts/nuts/washers! I'd rather not remove bolts and take them to a hardware store hoping to find a match. So what's the best process?
