Cb750 carburettor problem
« on: August 13, 2023, 06:19:38 PM »
Hi. Recently bought my 750k4 privately. Although I couldn’t test ride it it appeared to be going well . There was some paperwork related to carburettor work..Since I have been riding it not all the cylinders seem to want play together. I took it to one place who changed the plugs and said it went fine. It did for a few miles. Took it to another local workplace upon a recommendation. They reckon it is running far too rich and suggested that it would be better off looked at by a specialist. They suggested a Classic Honda near Daventry. They are booked up until end of 2024.
Can anyone recommend a reputable workshop on the South coast. I live near Worthing.

Many thanks Brendan

Welcome to the forum Brendan. I don't know of anyone down your way that could help but forum member James Harrington lives in Hove, he may be able to suggest someone. He does all his own work to his Honda CB's, as do we but I'll give him a nudge to pop up on the forum to see if he can advise.

A word of caution read this link - a member here had a bad experience with Classic Honda.

Hi Brendan and welcome to this great forum. Although it has had some carb work done it sounds as if they need a good going over, preferably by someone who had experience with these bikes and carbs. Maybe needs the electrics checked out too - timing etc. Good luck with getting it sorted, keep us posted.
