CB500K0 Chamber cleaner
« on: August 22, 2023, 07:20:53 AM »
Trying to track down a part number for the CB500 Four K0. The number listed 17310-323-000B seems to be the same number for the 500K0 and 500k1 ,but that part of the air box system is different from the 500K0 to the 500K1.
It many be the same part number with a visible different shape part.  ;)

Thinking back Trigger, i seem to remember the spigot for the drain tube altered from straight down to being on an angle, BUT that is a very dim memory so no guarantee

Your memory is not that bad Bryan. The K1 had the drain port to the left and the bottom of the chamber was slopped towards the drain. The K0 had a V bottom that slopped to the middle with a straight drain port.
I am trying to wright a paper on the differences between the K0 and K1, with things like the pilot bulb holders were longer on the K0 with part number 323 and the K1 had 341.
Have done a bit of searching but, can not find a different number as yet  ;)

I cant find a different number either Graham.
It was probably a design alteration for easier manufacture orcosmetic reasons and as it still fitted Honda left the part number the same.
The JDM parts book shows the same number but cant tell you description.
Many differences on that one inc fixed footrests, bulb in stem top nut, speedo with sensor wire etc

How can a model have a 341 part number when the 341 bike didn't come out till a year later?

The 341 part number relates to 1972, both 72 500K1 and 72 750/4 K2 use 341.

Cheers for looking mate  ;) I thought it was just me that could not find the number.
I did find two numbers for the air filter housing but, i can not find a difference between them in appearance .
