Swing Arm Grease Nipple
« on: September 05, 2023, 07:28:18 PM »
Anyone have the size to hand?
The parts book has it as : (B.T6S) 96201-80000

Measured mine and it seems a strange size....

It is a strange size and genuine are not that expensive, just remember to use a tube to hit on the flange not the end

Thanks. I'll put the old one back until I have time to make some s/steel ones - hence I was asking for the size.....

How are you going to make the internal check valve?

I have some larger threaded s/s ones and I was going to re-thread them - if that makes sense....

You're going to rethread the nipple stem or the swinging arm Matt?

Seems simpler to rethread the bolt rather than the nipple. At least then replacements are easy to find.

Isn't that part just a normal size Matt? It's the same as the 550 swinging arm nipple and I'm sure I've replaced that with a stainless one before now. What thread pitch is it?

Ken, it's taper thread. It maybe M6 x 1 but I will check later when I unearth my nipple box (that just sounds wrong!) I have some identical S/steel ones but the thread is bigger so I was just contemplating modifying one .....Anyway, the old one is back where it belongs!
