Oil seal kit

David Silver don't do an engine oil seal kit for a 550F, is the 500 kit essentially the same but missing the blanking plug?

And possibly the clutch arm plus you will get a pushrod seal and a clutch worm seal, does he do one for any 550? They are all the same

Apparently not Bryan,  Irand them today and was told there's no 550 seal kit at all, weird as they do one for just about every other bike.

The clutch cover case is a slightly different shape 500 to 550 so the gasket probably is as well.

True Gary but this is a seal kit not a gasket kit that's being discussed.

No problem, better to contribute and be slightly wrong than not contribute.

You spotted this Dom?

https://www.cmsnl.com/products/oil-seal-kitcb550k_90000374000/

And this may also be of interest.

All that's missing off that set is the 6 pucks or pontrefract cakes as I call them, saying that I've always reused the old ones but that was back in the 80s when they were still comparatively new.

Oh that's interesting Ken,  as I'll be doing a DS order for the pistons I might as well order the  Vesrah kit from there while I'm paying postage.

I've just done all 9 crank clearance with plastigauge just to be on the safe side and as it was quite interesting, I took my time with it to guarantee my reads were accurate, they all came out at near on exactly the same readings - photos to follow.  So I think I need to get the pistons ordered up for Bryan and drop them off with him but I'm fairly confident in saying the borpttonpm end is in pretty good health, just the top end that's taken a hammering which makes me wonder why.

Those crank reads are good though aren't they?
