Picture sizing for posting

I normally take pics with my ipad and when I post them on here, it gives me the choice of small, medium, large or original size.  I was out on the scoot today and used my iphone for a few pics.  When I got home the phone synced with the ipad but when I tried to post a pic from the ipad all options were original size - well over the 3mb allowed.  Any ideas?

Use Flickr and post the BBCode  no file size issues plus folk can zoom in on the original jpeg file.

I'm not on flickr but eventually I emailed the pic to myself from the phone and downloaded it - it now gives the option of resizing - buggered if I know!
