Do anyone know anyone in the Uk do a 6v electronic Ign Kit for a St70 1975........... in the uk that is...........as been looking around but can Not find any........ some abroad but they are just too much Money :(

Didn’t think this was too bad, paid £150 for a lock set fir the 750.

Isnt the 70 a magneto ignition like the 50 with the 90 having "normal" points and coil

Don`t know what the link you sent was anything to do with what i asked about the the Electronic Ign LOL  ::) ;D

Yes Bryan it is a mag ign .......... just wanted to do away with the points and put ele/ign on........ and tree of us Have the Monkey bikes and they all seem to keep having the points adjusted if you set them all up its fine but we been out a few times on them and while we were out at least one of us have a problem and lose power and its all down to the points...have to limp home at about 25 MPH as wont go No more that that lol.......... Yes before anyone say it they don`t do much more........ well they do when the points keep set up as been up to nearly 50 MPH ....No that was Not down hill  ;D

Back in the 70's when i worked on strimmers, brushcutters and the like with small 2 stroke enginesthat had mag ignition you could buy a little plastic module about 1x1/2x1/4( inches!) that you bolted outside the mag and it took over the points job, different colours for different engines.
Absolutely no idea now what they were called or where i got rhem from wholesale but it might be worth to looking for a garden machinery shop with an old guy in it an asking them.

Alternatively the flywheel and backplate from a newer 50 might fit, doubt the 70 would.

well it comes to us all........... well Most anyway at our ages...... say No More lol.

well they do a system but to buy one cost the earth .... Like £250 plus..... blime.......... thats a lot of points ha
for that I will stick with the points ha ......

still working on the Bomber too at the Moment still getting the cases all painted up ..... just I thought someone might Know somewhere over here that Might do them  :o
