stupid prices from Germany
« on: January 24, 2024, 04:24:20 PM »
Have you noticed lots of ebay ads from Germany for used parts at really stupid high prices? So ridiculous that surely no-one would buy them? 550 alternator cover £334, sump £92.45 master cyl also £92.45! if it was ultra rare stuff fair enough but just average used parts.
Love the 500 and 550 have a 500 called Lazarus under restoration

I wonder if that’s the going prices within Germany? I have noticed the high prices from there before. Having said that I was delighted to get an entire 750 gearbox for £65 not so long ago.

Italian eBay prices are just the same as Germany. Someone was selling a 400/4 horn not working for £35 with another £25 P&P!

I paid £107 for a pair of pattern bar switches from Germany including postage in April 2023 - that seemed a fair price even though the wiring took a bit of sorting out as they were not for a 500 K1 but listed to fit 400 550 & 500 K2 750 K4to K6.
Honda CB500 K1 (new pit dug out ready)
Honda CB400 four super sport (first money pit)
