Ted / Steve. Have the pipes got any markings, script or stamings on them?

Indeed, would be nice to see an (E) embossed, maybe even a small booklet with the homoligation included, making our MOT inspectors happy, hence usage even possible...

I'm not asking for that reason as not many replica exhaust systems for old bikes have that type of info stamped on them anyway. Im really wanting to know if they have Delkevic stamped on them.

That's the one thing I don't like about my Delkevic, the etched logo ruins it and it can't be rotated out of view.  Different exhaust than this discussion is about obviously.

Just checked all 4 pipes, no markings of any kind.

FYI, kit comes with everything you need. Brackets, bolts, copper sealing rings, clamps and collars.
Even the rubber bump stops for the stands.

It’s a lot of money but a hell of a lot cheaper than the other source of these.

i wonder if they have any plans to do similar copy of 400/4 system?

Got me thinking how many 500's out there compared to 400's. Anybody any idea?
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

CMS are in the process of sourcing and sell 400/4 systems Tim, their advert keeps popping up on Face Book.

The repro 400/4 system I purchased from DSS back in 2017 was an absolute nightmare to fit, it kept fouling on the sump. I had to use brute force in the end to slightly bend the pipe to clear it.  I hope any new ones CMS may stock in the future are better quality!

Always wondered, what is the purpose of the link pipe between the top and bottom pipes near the ends?
IIRC are such "balancing" ports intended to increase low end torque... dunno if this also applies when they're that far down the line though...
The ST1100 has them in the down-pipes, right below where they attached to the heads; would look odd on those /4 engines...
The further down the line they will enhance performance in the high rpms, at least, they are supposed to. The ones closer to the head are to increase mid or low end torque. It's been a long time I learned this, but the source was definitely trustworthy.
