It looks like MCN have jumped onto the band wagon & brought out there own version of the classic renovation of Jap, Italian & British muscle bikes called 'Practical Sportsbikes' for bikes of the '70s, '80s & '90s.

Bikes...they're in the blood.

Hi Yoshi823,

I have only seen this mag on line as it seems unobtainable up north, (where I live anyway) tried in lots of large outlets and some small, all to no avail.
I thought that I might go for a years subscription to see what it's like but that was as hard to do as find it in the book stalls. So stuff it !!!

From what I've seen though, it might be a good read , Time will tell I guess.

I Know what you mean about MCN, everything they road test seems "fantastic". Very rare they cover any real world bikes and they have obviously finally noticed the LARGE ammount of bikers that are into classical bikes as they now have a page for classics.

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics is a good read though  :D

COLIN.

I bought No 3 myself whilst on holiday. Some interesting articles, but the style is reminiscent of Classic MotorCycle Mechanics, but focused  on sports bikes.

May buy No 4 if I am in the right shop.

Practical Sportsbikes is run by Jim Moore who is the deputy editor of Classic Bike. I've read all three (he gave me a free copy of issue 1  8))

It is a good read - I particularly like the "Family Tree" section.

Issue 1 featured:
LCs
Katana
ZX/ZXR family tree
Blade
Honda V4 family tree
RG/RGV family tree
CBR6

I had to wonder what he'd left for issue 2??

It's a quarterly (4 issues per year)
