Rear shock lengths
« on: April 08, 2024, 07:41:27 PM »
I have been looking for some rear shocks for my CB360, they seem to be offered in various lengths, 317mm - 335mm. Would it make much of a difference either way? The 317mm would be a good match for what’s come off the bike but I’ve been offered 335mm gratis from a friend.

If you buy new, the spring rates should be for the bike,

The SH shocks could be to hard, or to soft,

Also, jacking the back up by nearly an inch should make it less likely to scrape on corners

Will your mate let you try them?

Might be the way forward

He will to be fair but if it was a hard no for safety reasons then I wouldn’t bother.

They are pretty new to be honest and if it’s not going to make a massive amount of difference I would go with them.

I would guess the springs would be very hard,

The 750 is  at least 75kg heavier than your twin,

It could be like having a solid rear end,
