Clutch adjustment problem on CB500 K2

<< < (2/2)

McCabe-Thiele (Ted):
How will you be able to fit a 27 mm adjuster into a 26 mm hole as iirc the adjuster fits from the inside with the flange preventing it from passing through the casing hole?

Or have you sourced the standard adjuster 22841-266-000?

Nashfly:
Thanks to everyone for their input

The adjuster clamp bolt had a filed down nut in place of the clamp (there was another nut underneath the ball bearing!)

I have used emery cloth to reduce the size of the adjuster - it fits!

Waiting for delivery of the adjuster clamp and a new ball bearing, plenty of grease and everything will be ok

I knew when I bought the bike that a bodger had been working on it, to give you an idea of his incompetence, below is a picture of one (of two) bolts that were replacing the long stud on the rear bottom engine mount (the nuts were filed down to fit in the channel the rod should pass through)

I'm one step closer to completing my RC181 replica - thanks to all on here (I'm sure they'll be more questions to come)
