Don't worry Pete you are probably buying them before prices go up again. Consider them a form of investment!!

Just glad I shelled out about 18 months ago for major bits as prices have rocketed on some parts. For example my set of HM300 pipes when VAT was 15% were

At least you have something to show for it, there's plenty of things that burn money up and have nothing viable at the end of it, like fireworks, horses, parking tickets etc etc.

And look at how much depreciation you get on some new cars!! your'e much better off with a few old bikes.
