CB750 USA Model Guide
« on: February 04, 2011, 02:33:41 AM »
I'm guessing that members sometimes look to the USA for their spare part needs.

Here is a quick serial number and model reference for the CB750 K models:

And for CB750 F model owners:

Great to see you on the UK site as well as the US SOHC/4  site and very useful info.

Cheers

AshD, Thanks for the kind words ;D

I have a small collection of Honda CB750 published reference books for the USA, European and Japanese market bikes. Plus a few internet links that I think will be beneficial to forum members.

The USA Model Guide continued ....

When trying to locate parts, a very useful tool is a Honda part number cross reference. As an example: You need a disc brake rotor for a CB750 K2 and you have the Honda part number: 45120-341-000

Go to Motogrid: http://www.motogrid.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/7/honda.aspx

Using the Motogrid "quick parts look" box, enter the brand and part number. (you don't need to enter the model) The results will show all the other Honda models that used the same part number and the new superseded number (if applicable)

This cross reference is designed around the USA models. If you need a UK model specific part such as a number plate bracket: 84701-323-600B, unfortunately this cross reference will not work for you.

Steve and BryanJ, we older guys that remember these bikes new on the showroom floor refer to them as license plate brackets. The younger generation likes to call them taillight brackets. But we all like that good old-fashioned Yankee "bling".  :D
