Whats wrong with my rear end?
« on: February 25, 2011, 02:41:26 PM »
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the rear end of my 1978 CB750? I have seen others like this but it doesn't look right.
Cheers

Yes you are missing the plastic infill for the rear of the tail piece, this also has the Gold honda badge on it
Take a look at my rebuild thread, the last post has some pictures, and you willsee the bits you are missing
These bits you are missing only belong to the UK model the USA ones have a different indicator mount and numberplate bracket

Here's the parts list showing the missing bits, mainly 7, 10 and 14. http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750f2-supersport-england_model14689/partslist/F15.html

Also some other non uk regions seem to have the light mounted higher into that space and it looks neater that way.

A friend changed his F2 to that spec years ago, may have used an F1 braket possibly and it looks good, original too as Honda parts were used.

May have a pic somewhere if you want a look.
