Carburettor breather pipes

Hi,

When I switch off my CB500 a small quantity of petrol leaks from the breather pipe which runs from the mid-body (as opposed to the float chamber) of the second carb.

Does anyone know why this is?

If petrol is comming out of there the float bowl overflow must be blocked, or at least thats the only reason i can think of cos it shouldnt be that high
