Honda KO Tyres
« on: May 10, 2011, 05:05:44 PM »
Hi. Guys,

Have been trying to get tyres for bike with classic pattern without much success.
Was wondering if any body could point me in the right direction.

Cheers. Jock.

I have the Continental tires on my stock CB750 K4.

http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/motorcycle/themes/motorcycletires/classic/k112_rb2/k112rb2_en.html

Front: RB2   3.25 X19
Rear:  K112 4.00 X18

These are not high performance tires, but offer good all-around handling, traction and braking with the vintage look.

Thanks again guys for all help, have decided to go with Hinomaru and get dunlop, and was lucky enough to find local supplier who will supply and fit cheaper than most of the big Guys, and I don't have to worry about postage. Now my next big problem is who to go to for re chroming. Have looked on a lot of sites and blogs, but seam to get no further forward as one will say the one he got was great and then someone else says they were rubbish, so if anyone out there knows one who is really! really! great ::) would you let me know. Again Thanks.

Cheers Jock.

Sorry Guys, Misprint ( old age )  was Continentals not Dunlop tyres best match for tread, but information about chroming still stands.

Cheers Jock.

The best chrome for vintage Honda parts is Browns plating. http://brownsplating.com/about.php

They are located in the USA so shipping could get expensive.

Check with Ronnie Brown for details: ronnie.brown@brownsplating.com

Thanks Hinomaru,

Wish I was in good old US of A, shipping parts there would cost me more than the parts were worth, great pity.

Cheers Jock.
