hello newbi from middlesex
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:58:27 PM »
hello, new to the site. Im here for advice, help and hopeful help with finding parts for a Honda CB550k 1979, well we think it is?
it was an ebay job, chopper, bobber..... some of the work is good but some of the work is so dodgey like the wiring..
Also what other models for spares?
It came without indicators front and back or the button on the handle bars, any advice..?
At the moment we are trying to get it to start, not having much luck there as the sparks are a bit weak, but going to try easy start in the pots tomorrow, need to get the thing started before we can strip it down.

Hi Harri

Where are you in Mddx?

Post some pictures so that we can see what you are talking about.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Good idea to try to get it running first, at least it'll give you a good assessment of where to go next.

Are you just going to spray the easystart down the carbs while turning over to get it to fire?
