No spark at plugs
« on: September 25, 2011, 04:41:34 PM »
Hi Guys,

Fired the engine up on KO after rebuild, but had to shut down with bad fuel leak on No. 4&2 carbs. Fitted new float seats and needles, now ok but have no spark at plug leads, fitted new condensers and checked timing but still no spark, dose this just leave coils as main suspect or should I be looking elsewhere, would appreciate any input.

Cheers, Jock.  ???

Cneck you have 12volts at the black/white wire on the loom where the coils connect, wouldn't be the first time i found a no spark due to the kill switch being turned off, also could have gone faulty and/or the ignition switch

Hi. Bryanj,

Advice spot on faulty Kill switch, stripped down cleaned terminals sprayed with WD, reassembled pressed starter, LOVELY spark at plugs.

Thanks again Jock. ;D
