A liberal spray of WD40 and a bowl of moisture crystals underneath the bike (beneath the dust cover)

Sounds like a great idea.

If it fits mine then yes it is exactly what I need, the back has been butchered so only the glass is of use and just what I need.

What a guy you are.

Whilst I am here I have four bikes in my garage and need to protect them until next year when I will be using at least two of them. They get a bit damp in there, moisture forms on them and can I spray them with something to keep them good. I thought waxoil and then wash it off next year.

I'm a great believer in ACF-50 which will protect your bikes against damp and any salt crystals in the atmosphere.
I use my bikes over the winter and found it very effective and much cleaner than Waxoil.

I'm converted as well, excellent stuff, besides motorcycles/parts I threat also my car's engine bay and undercarriage with it.
Just ensure to not get any of it on rotors/pads, handles, seats, etc...

If you are parking the bikes up for the winter, then a Vacbag is a good investment.
Had a lot of use from mine.
