Speedo/tacho needle removal

I'm in the process of applying new vinyl overlays to speedo and tacho faces on my 350F1 and have taken off one of the bezels, using a Dremel type drill.  As if that wasn't daunting enough (had to bear in mind that they were going to go back on and not look as though they'd been attacked with a cold chisel)  -  I'm now stumped with the problem of getting the needle off.

Anyone any useful hints please?

Saw a method using a small desert fork to pry it off somewhere in the Inet.

                  yes if they are the same as the CB750 you can pop them straight off

Many thanks for both replies.  I'll report back after the next phase of surgery. Might even manage some before and after pics.

Two tea spoons under the needle boss and resting on the dial face securing screws. Equal pressure on both sides to ensure the needle spindle isn't bent. Not sure about attacking the band with a Dremel, an email address would bring you a restoration guide in PDF for these instruments.
