CB750F2 Supersport 1978
« on: February 10, 2012, 03:27:49 PM »
Hi this is my first post so please be patient. I am overhauling the front brakes and have come up against a problem. The LH front caliper is actually a RH fitted to a LH carrier. This means the standard length brake pipe will not fit. Does anybody know what other models had the same single piston twin caliper setup as i am having trouble getting a replacement for the LH. I have been told that early CX500 (single disc on LH side) and 1979 CB900 had the same calipers but have so far been unable to find out if it's true. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Go to:-

http://www.motogrid.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=HOM

Look up the part number you require in the on line parts list on the left hand side of the screen then copy and paste the part number to the parts look up on the right hand side of the screen, click on the select model under the where used heading and it will tell you all the Honda's that that part number was used on

Just thought i would update you. I have managed to get a pair of GL1000 calipers. They are not the same as the ones fitted to my bike but i do not know if they are original. Probably not as the left one is wrong anyway. Still i have removed them from the Goldwing carriers and they fit. Just need to paint them and replace the seals. Hope this is useful.
