Classic Bike nights
« on: March 07, 2012, 11:05:05 AM »
Hello all classic bike enthusiasts.
For those of you within riding distance of Wray village near Kirkby Lonsdale, the Classic Bike nights are starting again in April and running through to September.
We usually had around 50/60 attendees each night in 2011 with a good mix of machinery.
I'm not connected to the event in any way other than being a regular attender.  :)

A bit too far for me. Shame. A good meet for those a bit further south is at Ashby Folville in Leicestershire held every second Tuesday of the month from April - September. Cars and bikes, old and new.

I've been to a Knottend meet, the cafe was that full I didn't bother trying to get a brew, so plenty of folk there.

I'll get to more this year.

Just another reminder to all bike enthusiasts.
It's getting closer to the first meet of this year at Wray on Thursday 5th April.
Lots of flyers (see my earlier post) were placed at Garstang yesterday, so if the weather holds there should be a good turnout.  :)

Hi Mick,
Sorry we never met last night, although to be fair I wouldn't have known you till now. :) I look forward to speaking with you on your next visit.
I counted in excess of 55 bikes there prior to writing a short report for my 'local' club. The next meets should be a bit warmer and we'll have the benefit of more daylight. Here's one of the photos I took. The May event coincides with the Wray Scarecrow Festival week and if you've never visited before it's well worth going to see it. Details in this link -  http://www.wrayvillage.co.uk/scarecrows.htm/scarecrows/index.htm
Cheers to all - see you next time.

Nice to meet you Bill, my turn to buy the coffees next time, and I hope its a bit warmer next time, when the sun went down it was bloody freezing.

After riding bikes for 30 odd years I finally fitted heated grips last month, how did I manage without them, and glad I had em Thursday night :D

Aye I'm sure we'll catch up some time Mick, see ya next time. Blimey doesn't my old nail look good in your photo LOL ;D

I'm going to try and get to one of these meetings in the near future . Mid week evenings are a bit difficult for me cos as an HGV driver I'm usually up at daft o'clock in the week .
