Clutch cover bolts (x 4)
« on: March 11, 2012, 04:10:42 PM »
Have stripped the clutch out on my bike to check the plates, however when reassembling how tight should I do the 4 bolts that go through the springs.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Pikeyboy.

Do NOT tighten them according manual torque. Don't ask me how I know. Just use your senses.

I accidently overtightened and the bolt broke so yea not too tight but enough to keep them on solid. maybe use a torque wrench if you have one available.
TON UP!!!

Don't those bolts bottom out? I just tighten them till they stop. :) Never a problem.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.
