750F1 axle holder

The axle holder [ clamp ] is marked with the letter F on my F1, Dose this mean anything ? can they be fitted either way around.

The clamps are "stepped", the F mark should be at the front, the gap at the back, tighten up the front bolt first then the back one.

Thanks for that, Old age is catching up remember now step at back to form the clamp,  Maybe bike should go I could buy some lego
