Just come back from MOT land with a new certificate.......huzzah!  No problems, apart from loose connection on main beam, which I fixed outside the bike shop.

While I was there I saw a very shiny CB400/4 which is not such a common sight these days.  Sadly, the owner was not in attendance.  Anyone on here?

Very nice indeed.  I've always wanted to have a go on one of those.  I bet it's quite fast.

OOH they are, specialy when you make "Minor" mods to the porting----trouble is then they only do 6MPG

Thank you Bryan for your advise about the swingarm.  Pumping it full of grease was all it needed, can't be as bad as I thought.

Probably is, but the grease does wonders---just remember every 1,000 miles maximum

 Thats a lovely looking Kettle (nice and chunky). It was my dream bike in the 70's - until my mate bought a brand new red one. After a couple of early goes followed by a week using it I was glad to give it back. It was heavy slow and thirsty.  He kept sliding off it, nothing serious, but it ended up in his garage totally stripped and left for years. half of it went to the tip, the engine was sold in MCN for next-to-nothing, and he gave up bikes.
 
  Gotta say though I still love the look of them and would probably buy that one no probs at all...hehehe

Thank you Bryan, wonderful stuff grease, and the left-over bits which oozed out were wiped on the mudguards to protect against the elements and give it that special sheen.
