Wanted: CB750 K7 piston (STD)
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:04:28 PM »
I'm looking for one standard CB750 K7 piston for engine CB750E-300XXXX (marked 392 near gudgeon pin, and measuring approximately 60.9mm at bottom of skirt).  I would appreciate any help in locating one, preferably new (long shot, since these seem to be discontinued) or else good used.  Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Joseph

The engine in the K7 is also the F1 engine, with the addition of F2 type carbs. 392 is the Honda designation for the 750F1, and I have seen several NOS pistons for sale on E-Bay recently, albeit many of them in the U.S, but having purchased quite a few NOS parts from there myself, it seems a good way to find one. Actually, just found one on e-bay, in U.K., buy it now for under £25 inc p+p, item no. 280878034161, hope it's what your after ;D

Oops, ignore that number, I didn't read the listing properly :-[ it's 1mm oversize :-[  250913017206, this number is for a standard one, but it's in the states ??? You could always try one of these Big Bore kits, they come complete with rings, gudgeon pins, circlips and head gasket, with change from £90! ;D item no. 130643718718 ;D

Only need one piston, since the other 3 are good.  However, thanks for your reply.

It looks like you need # 13101-392-020.  I have had a quick look at Harpers, Riders ,DS and the stateside suppliers but cannot see any.

Sorry,
Rob

Thanks for all the suggestions, much appreciated.  I am not in a hurry since this is for my 'spare' engine, so maybe its worth waiting until I find a new piston.
