Hello from Lyon - France
« on: October 16, 2012, 06:47:24 PM »
Hello to all,

My name is Patrick, I'm 58, I live in Lyon / France and am a fan of 70's Honda motorcycles.
I am an active member and moderator of the French Forum "Amicale des CB & Four" and "CB 500 Four Club".

As I know that you like them, here are some pictures of my bikes :

CB 750 Four K1 1971, all original unrestored :

CB 50O Four K1 1974, total restoration nearly finished :

CB 450 K2 :

CB 350 K2 :

CB 125SL K1, totally restored :

C50M 1975, totally original unrestored :

Hope you'll like them !  ;)

PS : sorry for my bad english ...  8)
Patrick

Vos motos sont tres Jolie!

That's the limit of my French. Welcome.

Thanks for your messages !

@ rozabikes : your french is excellent, congratulations !  ;)

@ UK pete : the 750 K1 will be my next restoration, it has 65 000 km and several oil leaks, and noises from the cam and primary chains, as usual on these bikes. I found too some black rubber pieces in the oil, so the cam chain tensioner or/and the primary chain rubbers are probably out of order ...  ::) I have to change all these parts by new one.
Patrick

Hi Aurelia.
HELLO AND WELCOME,
Nice bikes. I live in france to in the poitou charente but my French is only good enough to get by. There is another French man on this site who lives in Paris he is listed as new to france sounds a nice chap. I wish you the best and have to say your English is good. Hope to hear more from you in the future.
All the best
Bitsa

BONJOUR ET BIENVENUE, motos TRES BON.

Thanks bitsa for your welcome !

The other french you are speaking about is probably kiss93 I think ? He is a friend, he gave me your forum address.

How long are you living in France ? Not a long time as you don't speak a fluent french as you say  ;)

And thanks for your text in french, absolutely funny, a Google translation ? It's more easier for me to read you in english than in "GoogleFrench"  :D

Aurelia,
Thanks for that your right about kiss93 and the translator.I can speak enough french to get by with but can not write it to save my life. Here where I live its all rural and not many french left around they are all English so my french does not get much practice.I do not think the poitou charente is a high biker area but I  do go to all the bourse de exchange meetings. My favourite one is at Niort in March a 2 day event really good.
Cheers
Bitsa
