I can't find an exhaust
« on: November 10, 2012, 06:07:19 PM »
Evening chaps.
As the cafe project toodles along I've started to mess with the frame so I now have to decide on what exhaust I need.
I really only want to fit a stainless 4-1 system but the problem is finding one. After spending hours looking I've only found 2 and there both in the US.
I had decided on a Yoshi replica from Lossa Engineering which I was going to order today but in there ultimate wisdom there now only steel not stainless.
The other gut I found in the US won't import to the UK.

Can anyone help?

Pm Steph550. She had a stainless system made recently.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

Thanks for the reply but I think a custom made is going to be to expensive.

Has any one had any dealings with either the MAC 4-1 or the Marshall 4-1 deeptone?
Thought they both looked ok for chrome, just wondered about fit and finish.

Any aftermarket chrome exhaust will "Blue" on the bends as they are single skinned against the original double skinned.

I have fitted a Marxshall to a 550 and the fit and initial finish was good, as was the exhaust note---in fact under the current rules a dubious MOT pass--- but had to modify the silencer hanger as it varies depending on which frame its going on----By the way DO NOT cut aff the rear footrest hangers until after you have decided on an exhaust as a lot of them mount there!

Thanks for the reply,
I won't actually be fitting the exhaust for at least 6 months but I need it to make sure everything is in place before the frame gets powder coated. As you say the last thing I want to do is find yjeres a support missing after that's been done.
