Single or twin?
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:42:53 AM »
Hi,
I am confused...I have just bought a pair of forks that were off a K5 when they arrived they looked like they were for twin disc. the screw holes for the disk on the right side have never been used. are theses correct or should the right leg be plain?

Billy
Thanks
Billy

Hi Billy.
Just looked at the parts list on mncl and this looks the the norm.On my k6 they also looked as they can have a double disc.In fact it did have when I bought the pile of shite  but of course seized up and cream crackered.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Yes most of them are equipped like this as standard (maybe K0 wasn't, not sure) but all the K2-4-6 and F1 that I've seen have this as normal.

Standard disc fitted to left side and the other fork leg just left with the lugs unused.

They are quite powerful when fitted with two discs though, so some people build them up this way.
