Hi from West Sussex
« on: December 11, 2012, 09:16:49 PM »
Evening all, I do have an ultera motive for joining this forum, one to rekindle my desire for a Pre 74 early k series which I couldn't afford when I was younger and two to try and track down one of my 550/4s, I'll start a new topic for that if I may.
Present wheels are a  Tiger 1050, I look forward to joining in on the forum topics.

Indeed I do, and I'm not the only one one here who has a modern Triumph as a daily ride either!

Sorry for the slow reply guys I hadn't pressed notify, in my youth Ive had two 550's, one 500/4, four 250G5's, one FT500 and countless others but I never got round to getting an early 750K series. I'm in the process of uploading a picture "where's my old bike" of one of my 550s to perhaps jog someones memory.

Welcome to the forum and hope you find a nice 750 to add to your previously owned bikes. I like the look of the FT500 but have never riden one, a friend had one and stuggled to keep the starter mechanism operative.

I'm a covert Triumph owner also with an early Speed-Triple...they are nice grunty motors, even more so in the 1050 developement.

Nigel.

I didn't pick up on the Merlin angle, there was one partly sectioned in the showroom of a car dealer (Duncan Hamilton) for years in Bagshot high street that I used to stop by and look at.

Also new of one that was used to run a small wind tunnel that my mate serviced for a while, I never saw that one.

Mesmerising sound though.
