good plan with the black XS engine-----doesn't show the oil leak from the cam cover that came as standard as bad!!

sorry foot to let you know i was putting these up to let you see as said budget was very small on this think we spent around £400 on it so pretty happy with it for spending so little still got full service new bearings fork rebuilt new cables new shocks headlight brackets seat pod new handlebars etc

a few more updates work has been slow but rims and one disc are away to be powder coated and both discs are now drilled in my design


alot of wiring has been done loom shortened and repaired where needed looks messy but isnt really


controls prepped primed and painted



working out where to put my led lights for oil pressure turn signal neutral and full beam



Here worked out good for two of them

more updates wheel built tyres on rear brake plate nightmare fixed thanks to norniron400f







30 some odd old brake shoes didnt want to stay together  :-[


tyres are avon road rider 130/80/18 rear and 100/90/19 front

thanks very much and yes really happy with how its all looking so far should have the tank and seat pod back in the next week or two just need to decide on a colour   :-\

disc painted just need lacquer




rear wheel ready to go on

bike rolling again






now with twin disc setup have to modify the disc and standard speedo drive alot to let them fit together

Standard rims  and yes read a few different ways of doing it and woulf of dobe your way if I thought of it befire geting the hub powder coated and built but my way will still work fine and do the job all being well

yes i do agree with tyre size with the rim i used the rear tyre as i already had it sitting there plus a friend of mine has been running a 130 rear and has been happy with it but i do completely agree with what your saying in regards to the handling. As for the twin disc setup i explained myself wrong i didnt modify the speedo drive i modified the the speedo plate and the disc for the lock tabs to sit in.thanks

425 = 4.25" = 108mm

So a 425/85 is equivalent to a 110/85 in modern speak.

Newest addition to bike family found this thanks to norniron400f he seen it phoned me and on the fridsy night and I bought it the next morning its a cb550 with a cb650 engine has electronic ignition and box loads of parts

few more updates finished some more of the wring and connected up the battery






ignition relocated to here doesnt look in the best order but works fine matched the tank lock


carbs where taken all cleaned inside and out then painted ready to go on
