Interesting way to get spoked wheels

Don't forget that HMRC are likely to add 3% import duty to the cost of the parts PLUS shipping then add 20% vat to the TOTAL and if it comes via the post they charge £11 just for the privelige of collecting the money

Nice idea but I think personally the converted comstars look heavy and clumsy because the spoke disc has to be a fair bit larger than the hub. In my mind this defeats the object of going for spokes - a simple light look.

I have looked at this myself for an 750f2 with comstars and came to the conclusion if you want twin discs you would be better adapting something like a Yamaha Tenere or Honda Africa twin hub to fit (spindle / spacers etc). Then lining up brake calipers /sprockets etc etc but probably possible.


One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....
