Spark plug lead replacement
« on: May 26, 2013, 11:59:35 AM »
Hi All,
Does anyone know if it is possible to replacement the HT leads from the coils to the spark plugs on a 400/4 or is it necessary to buy new coils?
Thanks,
John

Hello, perhaps this is good for you:

"Used for splicing new wires on old coils. Joins two sections of plug wire together.
Made from high impact plastic to provide a watertight connection".

There's a FAQ on this on the US site. One of the members carved open his coils, soldered new HT leads and then epoxied the coils back together. There are photos too

I'll see if I can find it when I get home tonight.
