just starting to strip the engine on my K6 750 and turned the engine till TDC on 1 and 4 and the t on the 1.4 window lines up but the cam is about 15 degrees out of alignment, is this normal. I was riding it a week ago ::)

do I just put it back to where it was or has the cam been changed/altered?
HELP! :(

Billy.
In my opinion that's not right the cam lines should be straight across. Is the cam chain adjusted right?
Was she noisey when riding? If so maybe that cam chain and rollers are shot.
Try and see if you can get the lines to line up by moving one tooth on the cam wheel.
All the best

I have stripped out the cam now but it would have been about 3-4 teeth to get it to line up surly that would make it way out with the timing? as I mentioned the bike ran ok just a bit rattly and low in power.

will have to see when putting it back together,
Billy
Thanks

Billy.
When re assembling give the valves a good looking at bent etc
Being out would certainly mess the power up.
Are you totally rebuilding her?
Good luck

will do, just the pots and head on the moto the bottom end looks/feels great. Also a full restore elsewhere.
re-chrome all bits including, rims, original exhaust,  powder coat frame I have bought a tank from the USA (got stung with import tax) in    "Candy Antares Red" as log book just says Red.

Thanks
