I haven't heard from John Baker for a long time.

If he's selling his 400F, it'll be a steal for someone on here (before he eBays it)

I think he did register on this site but can't find any record of him ever posting. I think he likes to banter with Sam on .net too much...

Well the search is over....  1978 F2 in yellow, one owner from new, 17,500 on the clock getting delivered this afternoon.

It's one of the bikes David Silvers bought for the restoration project but this one was in good original condition so all they did was "cosmetically refurb" instead of restore.

Piccies later on tonight, Sue doesn't know yet, it's a surprise! ;-).

Can't wait....

Hi Stewsue Glad you found one there is nothing better than an old Honda.I'm seriously considering selling my Aprilia to make room for another one.
If it's the bike I saw the other week at DS Very nice I have never seen a crap bike leave there yet.He is a bit of a 400/4 Nut :D. There seems to be a different selection of bikes there almost weekly I walked through the parts warehouse and wanted to fill my pockets ;D  one day I will remember to take my camera.

Happy days....

Arrived just in time to park on the drive, wrap in ribbon and wait for Sue to come home from work.

Need some photo's of this and the VFR.

Bike looks great - it's got just enough fiddling needed to keep us interested, but it's in great original condition.

Nah the other two were Full resto bikes at twice the price going to folks with a bit more cash than we have! - But from 10 ft away, ours looks just as nice, and I'd hate to loose the patina of the bike, I love the original steel pressed numberplate :-) (And original exhaust!)
