I assume it doesn't. If its like the 400F then the switch is in the union between the upper and lower hoses, underneath the headlight... ?

+1 with Tom it is a different arrangement on the original and screws into the joiner on the bottom yoke. I might have one if you need it.

Buy a nice new repro from Silvers for 29 quid.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

A rebuild kit is about the same price and not always successful, depends on how original you want it to be. I have the repro on my 500 and it works fine. will still need separate brake switch though.

The original switch is not part of the master cylinder assembly. It is a standalone switch that attaches to the lower yolk.

flexi pipe master cylinder to bottom yoke then a junction with the switch which I think is a hydraulic pressure swich and connect to the wiring. The junction block then goes flexi line then steel for the last bit I belive originally. My bikes have genrally had all that removed in place of a single braided hose and the pressure swich to activate the brake light is a special kind of banjo bolt that adds the switch to the banjos functions. My sidecar has the junction with switch still fitted on bottom yoke with braided hose above and below.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock
