Hijacked the "Honda Service" thread by posting this old picture of me (behind the camera), my brother (next to my 500/4) and my mate Ian (Hondastyle "bumblebee" jacket)

I have some more of these so thought I'd start a new thread for others to comment and post their own.

#2 shows the first time I saw a CBX in the flesh.

#3 ditto with the CB900 (It took 40 years, but now I own one...)

Transatlantic Trophy series at Oulton park.....I went (to my one and only motorcycle race) there about 1974........Barry Sheene; Gene Romero, Kenny Roberts (I think).....had a great day out but I didn't know who won what until I read it in MCN the following Wednesday. How times have changed.

Great photos - keep them coming.

Memories. Used to follow transatlantics, great series.

Reading Steve's earlier post about first seeing a CBX. Does anyone remember / go to the Honda open days at Donnington? faboulous format. Ride any model round the track.... CBX THE lot! Rode one myself. The form was hold back, let the Marshalls at the front and other riders get away a bit, then give it the berries! Free fun

Yep good days.

Tim

def Paul Smart on his BSA/Triumph triple,
top one is a bit of a mystery, def Reads lid,and tidy riding style, dont remember him using yellow leathers,I know John Cooper did,
and the bike,a big twin two stroke? high pipes, maybe early Suzuki 500 twin in G50 frame ??poor fit fairing, traditional big drums ,
any idea?
