What colour HONDA on back of seat?

OK - discussion between my wife and me - we need to paint the Honda logo on the back of a newly recovered Parakeet Yellow F2 CB400F 1978, and need to know if it should be white or silver.

Silver as far as I remember.
I was going to do the same thing to a replica seat but need to make a mask with the correct font and size. Not sure what paint adheres to vinyl though.

The Stencils are available on ebay from the USA, and Halfords sells Light grey vinyl paint, but think it's a tenner - I think I'll look for some online.

For paint that adheres to vinyl try an art & crafts material shop...for example www.boesner.com (if you speak some German-oh Dear!) or www.gocreate.co.uk - crafts section...leather/vinyl paint or markers? check it out...X

...being too hasty, I did't check the UK art material website search engine myself and I suggest, you give them a call to find out whether they have the the stuff you need first! X :)

Also....
I "discovered" that Timpsons (the shoe repair, key cutting places) do "Brillo" leather and vinyl spray dyes (150 ml size aerosol) .
Available in silver -  I think that was on my 1978 F2 seat - you can buy online for about £10 delivered.
I will try the local branch first.

Silver dye ordered from the local Timpsons - should have it in a day or two.

Meanwhile I bought a stencil for a fiver from a Spanish ebay seller... Anyone else bought one?

Honda logo has now been added to my newly acquired DSS replica seat.

The stencil worked really well and the Brillo silver spray went on in two light coats.

If Royal Mail would only deliver the new seat catch I'd be able to finish the job.
