New to the site....from Co Durham.
« on: October 19, 2013, 07:59:03 PM »
Hello,
saw a mention of the site in Octobers Classic bike, and thought i`d pop in.

Good to see a few North Easterners on the site. This is my latest project...CB175

Saved it from being thrown in the skip, by a colleague...

It had some money chucked at it in 1990, and then just sat..

Running now...

And ready for it`s test.

I also have a Z750s and a DRZ400

Hi and welcome ;D Great to see another CB175, there are one or two of us on here that still have them, it's not all big fours thankfully! Hope it gets through the M.O.T. okay for you, they are fantastic town bikes, make an incredible sound at the red line, and seem to thrive on being revved silly! Just make sure you change the oil regularly and clean the centrifugal filter/sludge trap and they seem indestructible, enjoy it ;D
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

Only thing to add is let it get warm before reving it hard as working hard from cold tended to shatter the top rings

Fame at last.

You couldn't scan the page for me could you?  Was it a member or a journo?
