Datatool Alarm
« on: December 12, 2013, 08:47:15 PM »
Hi all does anyone know how to remove a Datatool alarm from a Triumph S4
Every time I go to use it the bike is as dead as a dodo.Even when left on a trickle charger it's costing me a fortune in battery's it even drains my motobatt battery to extinction.
I,v been considering a ratty F 1or2 as a replacement bike because I now love kickstart bikes as they always start

Hi mick if your getting an F model go for the F2 , they have the best brakes best handling and most performance of all the standard sohc 750,s, ignore all the negative about them ruining valve guides and engines, there is truth in the accelerated wear in valve guides, but on a fresh set you should get 30,000 miles before problems, and if you look about most people have rebuilt their k models before 30,000 miles anyway,

I have the same problem on a zx6r - I resorted to removing the battery, otherwise it's dead within two weeks. It was professionally fitted - so I've always assumed I would need to have it 'professionally' removed, otherwise I might mess up my electrics/electronics.

...Don't think I'll ever have an alarm / immobiliser fitted again as it's been such a pain. Good luck!
