CB500 Camfshaft Tolerances - error in manual ?
« on: January 04, 2014, 12:06:04 PM »
Hi

anyone know the correct figures for the 500's camshaft lobe tolerances. The shop manual (and Haynes and Clymer) all state that the standard height for the inlet lobe is 34.93mm to 34.97mm  and that the serviceable limit is 35.85mm ... ie that the service limit is bigger than the standard height ... some mishtake surely ??

That is wrong, there is a mistake, the correct service limit of the inlet cam is 34,85mm.
