CB550F seat rails
« on: February 20, 2014, 04:57:36 PM »
I am wondering if anyone has an original seat on a CB550F with rails. I am in need of the length from point to point at the beveled ends. In Millimeters please if anyone can assist. If anyone has some for sale that would be better :)

What do you mean "with rails"?
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

An original seat has chrome rail running down the out side of the seat and is held on with 5 pins each side. If your seat pan is original Les you should have holes for the seat rails. James had them on the low mileage 550F2 he sold a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to ask him for the seat rail length.

Oh, chrome trim.  :) Mine is aftermarket, sorry.
You could give steph550 a pm, hers is original.

Cheers mate, your answer is a great help. Just have to find someone to make some or a set which is longer from another bike.
