ok peeps i,ve built a few 400/4 from scratch just finning my show bike off but car,nt get it to turn over everythink is new and all connected up kill switch is,nt in the off position the clutch cut for not starting in gear is connected all fuses are ok i have power from battery to started if i take starter off and jump it on a battery it turns off but on the bike when i push the starter button nothin????
i now it must be somethink silly but i car,nt think what >:( >:( >:(

Try bridging the solenoid posts. I'm not familiar with the 400, but I would also try bypassing the clutch safety. Is your neutral light working?
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

Bad earth ??
Zener diode is in the starter circuit isn't it?

sorted it changed the selenoid still no luck so put old one back on then it turned over so must of had a dodgey joint
