CB 750 Britain
« on: March 05, 2014, 10:52:02 AM »
Im currently restoring a Honda Cb 750 750 ss Britain and Im really struggling to get hold of a standard exhaust end can.I would love to borrow one and make a replica but Im unable to track one down.Ive been intouch with OS pipes in Stafford as they have made before but he has lost the original pattern.

Does anyone on here have a Britain with standard exhaust that I could take some dimensions of or does anyone know where I could get one made.

Thanks

Gary

Is this the chrome silencer for White Honda Britain or the black one for Phil Read replica (I have the drawings for the PRR silencer)

If you can get drawings or a pattern to copy I have had silencers and complicated 'v' twin exhausts made in the past by www.unityequipe.co.uk .they may still do specials.
good luck Richard

hi gary...I can answer your questions!!I started and run an owners club for the cb750f2 Honda britains and phil read replicas.i have 2 reads and 3 britains rangeing from show room condition to a bag of bits.you can find the site at www.cb750f2hondabritainoc.co.uk    The original exhaust for the Honda Britains were made by Colin Seeley and had a tiny stamp saying SEELEY on the end can. These are super, super rare.I have a heavily patched one which i'll get rechromed one day.I also have 2 complete silencer systems which are an exact copy of the original and only missing the SEELEY stamp which couldn't be put on for copyright reasons.I am trying to locate all the surviving Reads and Britains so have a pretty comprehensive list of most but not all so get in touch..my details are on the website...ta   John
