CBX550 behind the 350 I think. CB550F, CB200, CB400F.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

You can see why DS prices are quite high now, its because he has bought up half of America, he has a big operation here in UK, the next step is world domination, helped payed for by our obsession of restoring SOHC bikes

Good luck to him. It takes a lot of hard work to build up a business like his...

I suppose I a bit biased. Restoration of my 400/4 in 1986 was so difficult then. The parts were probably around in their plenty but getting hold of them was a nightmare as there was no Internet etc. And there were just as many sharks around then, as now,  trying to offload rubbish. I had to phone around nearly every main Honda dealer in the UK trying to get 400/4F2 side panel stickers but got the last two from Fowlers Bristol, most dealers told me it was not a part normally sold, only complete side panels available and they had no part number. Then David Silver came along and all of a sudden my project was sporting NOS fenders, caliper, bar switches etc. etc for probably half of what a breaker was charging for mediocre  used parts. So my view is good luck to him he's earned it.  He's bringing those bikes over for us all to see, he says he is not selling them on. Suppose it all depends on the entrance fee to his museum. Got to be worth it though. Anyone been to Leiston? Isn't it near where the  Sizewell B Nuclear plant is?

Cheers.... AshD

I have gone there quite often more for the ride out then anything. Its about 100mile round trip for me.
I was working in Leiston for about six months before I had even realized DS was there.
He is very close to sizewell everyone there looks the same   ;D

James Mays 750 was in there for nearly a year before it sold.

I think we will have to organize a meet there when the bikes arrive.

::) I own a velocette and without grove classics buying up all the available tooling and spares I would be stuffed. they are the same as silvers with regard to postal prices but that's the only gripe. remember  back in the day when every street corner had that old shabby bike shop? with the old guy who knew every part number and new where to find it amongst piles of shite?  well those days are long gone boys. you cant exactly go in to tescos and get a set of points. it must have cost a fortune in investment to gather up what ds has, its for our benefit as well as his own.
