Cracked F2 bottom yoke replecement advice needed.
« on: March 19, 2014, 12:36:48 PM »
I noticed my bottom yoke is cracked, its not the sort of thing I want to weld up.

I have a CB550 yoke, but, the spacing is different between the stem and fork legs compared to the 750.

Are all 750 lower yokes the same spacing? I'm not worried about the brake hose splitter fittings as long at the triangular size and shape is common.

Cheers.
Pete.

I think I have a bottom yoke from a CB750K7. Not sure if it's the same but it's definitely different to my K0 one

Yes they'll be different part numbers the K7 doesn't have the brake splitter mounting, but incorporates headlight fittings I think.
Cheers.

Hi... Found it in the shed, picture attached. It won't come with the screw on bits, they are just on there to check the threads are OK, which they are. One of the end  stop lugs is broken. Yours for nothing if its any good to you.

Cheers .... AshD

Thanks Mate, I have sent you a PM.

The top yokes are the same part number so the fork/stem spacing must be the same.
Cheers.
Pete.

Hi Pete,

It's all packed up. Never used them before but MyHermes sounds the cheapest to send at £5.40 picked up as its over 2kg packed. May take a couple of days to get to you. As I said, I don't want anything for it, as I would never use it anyway, just Paypal me the postage or stick a fiver in the post. PM'd details.

Cheers AshD

Hermes do have insurance, up to £50 is free, and you can select higher value insurance for very reasonable cost. That said, I have used them many times and nothing has ever got lost or damaged, unlike Royal Snail!
