I can't remember who told me.I think it was someone I bumped into when out and about I only saw a pic.
I think he modified the rear mounts but that can't be to complicated.

Wonder if its worth the risk. Could be an expensive booboo. Someone else advised me they could fit but the cylinder head mounts are different and I have to use the ones of a k8. mmmmmm  :o

All you need to do is remove the Exhaust flanges and clamps and use the ones from the later modal that's all I did but in reverse on one of my bikes.

That set you found went for 1802 quid.Wonder how much I could get for my still boxed set of 341s?
Some still will pay big money.

Bitsa,
I rebuilt a engine last year for a 750k for a customer.  The guy also bought a set of exhausts from Germany for £2,500 with all the fitting. I asked him how could he justify spending that kind of money. His reply was logical: "The whole set cost £2,500 and i am hoping they will last me at least 10 years, so that's £250 a year. Not bad if you work it out at £4.80 a week".  At that point i thought i should up the price's for a engine re-build.

One way of thinking about it, but to get 10 years out of them they must never see rain, salt again and be removed each winter into a nice warm room me thinks.Back in the 70s cos only form of transport used in all wheathers cleaned regularly 2 years max.

Bitsa, You have always said OEM parts were the bollox's. A motad would last longer than 2 years. The 750 in question has been family owned since new with 14,324 miles at last MOT. So it doesn't get out much.

Agreed Trig,
I had forgotten to take into account even moturd must have improved on their quality over the years also your right bike did not get out much, bit like mine now.Was winter more harsh back in the 70s? slid off mine a few times I recall.I mean last year did nothing but flood in the UK never remember winter like that during my youth.Same here no snow this year first time in 14 years.
In those days they did not cost that much as today a new bike was only 969 pounds on the road.
Cheers

Trig,
Forgot to mention yes I am a great believer in Honda/oem bits only because they fit straight away, I am not saying the quality is the bolloxs for all but for engine internals seals,o rings etc you know you can not beat them. You know as well as I do fit anything else and I dare you to tell me you have had never to modify something one way or another ie, DS pattern frackin seat.Tried one for 10 seconds removed and sold on ebay.
Cheers

Bitsa, Never bought anything patten/aftermarket from DSS. Engine parts, yes you are spot-on. Though i have used Vesrah gaskets without any problems. If the customer requires.

Scottoiler. Diesel does the same job. Take a diesel car exhaust. It lasts 10 times longer than a petrol car.
A bit like the Vaseline Bitsa , old proven methods.
