Hi,
I bought a used big bore kit off Ebay. With the kit was a camshaft which is marked on the end with H7Y. Can anyone identify the cam from this?
Any help much appreciated.

Tony, is the cam shaft from a CB550? I have seen his number on american cams.

Sorry I should've stated it is from a CB750 SOHC.

Numbers on the end tend to be casting marks and mean nothing, some US makers mark the special cams but not many. All you can do is measure the lobes and compare to standard along with aftermarket "hot" cams

    My 400/4 road/track cam has similar stamped numbers/letters on the timing end of the camshaft---ken
