Noisy engine

 I have a 91 Kawasaki GT550 the engine of which is rattly. I replaced the timing chain with no improvement The noise reduces as the Engine warms up. It has been suggested to me that it is the Clutch Basket anyone have experience of this.

You may have to see if UKpete on here picks up on this as he has some experience in this area although I think his are Gpz, not sure if there's any compatability.
